Story
As an attorney, Avione has leveraged her legal expertise to advocate for social justice and equity within the education system. She currently serves as Adjunct Professor, Disability Law and Education Law at Gonzaga University - School of Law. She also practiced business litigation and corporate compliance before founding the education law group at Jones Walker Law Firm. Currently, she owns a small legal practice dedicated to representing injured individuals and small businesses, with a focus on family law, personal injury, small business debt collection, and contracts. This focus underscores her commitment to serving the community through law and addressing the diverse legal needs of individuals and businesses alike.
Avione is a former Greater New Orleans Martinet Legal Society board member and has served on the Tulane Black Law Students Association board, where she actively contributed to initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. She obtained a Civil Law Certificate from Tulane Law School, enhancing her expertise in civil law matters and demonstrating her dedication to professional development.
